The 7-Day Parent-Teen Reset — Crossroadz parenting guide cover by Frank Taylor, LMHC

THOUGHTFULLY PUT TOGETHER

A little structure for real family life.

Practical pages to read, write on, and return to. Your teen doesn’t need to participate on demand.

Seven daily practices

One focused practice each day, with space to reflect and choose your next step.

Six scripts to borrow

Words for difficult moments. Adapt them to sound like you, not a workbook.

A family agreement

A reusable page to put shared expectations and clear limits into words.

A worked example

See how a practice can look in an everyday parent-teen conversation.

A weekly review

Look back at what you noticed and decide what you want to keep practicing.

Four reminder cards

Small, printable prompts to keep your intentions close at hand.

YOUR SEVEN-DAY PRACTICE

One day. One small intention.

Follow the sequence or take a little longer. This is a practice schedule, not a deadline for your family.

  1. 01

    Pause

Make a little room before you respond.

  2. 02

    Listen

    Hear what’s underneath the words.

  3. 03

    Check assumptions

Get curious about the story you’re telling.

  4. 04

    Repair your part

Own what you can, without a “but.”

  5. 05

    Set a clear limit

    Be steady, kind, and specific.

  6. 06

    Invite connection

Leave the door open, without pressure.

  7. 07

    Keep what works

Notice what you want to carry forward.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

Before you begin.

Will things change in seven days?

Seven days is a practice schedule, not a promise or guarantee of results. Every family is different. You can repeat a day, move more slowly, or return to a practice whenever it feels useful.

Does my teen have to participate?

No. The practices begin with your own approach. Your teen does not need to participate on demand, complete the workbook, or be ready for a conversation when you are.

How much time should I set aside?

About 10 minutes daily to read, reflect, and choose a small practice. There is no need to catch up or finish perfectly. Make the schedule work for your household.

What format is the kit?

The kit is a 16-page digital PDF designed for US Letter printing. It is not a fillable form. There is no physical shipment. The resource is for household use.

What does household use mean?

The household license is for use within your own household, not resale, public sharing, or distribution to other households.

What if difficulty continues?

For ongoing difficulty, persistent distress or disruption to daily life, seek individualized support from a qualified professional. These exercises do not replace that support.

Can I purchase or download it now?

Yes. The Reset is $15 and available now through Payhip, which delivers the PDF after checkout. Crossroadz offers a 14-day full refund; see our refund policy for details. For download help, email frank@crossroadzlife.com. You can also try the free practice.

Is this therapy or crisis support?

No. Crossroadz provides general parenting education, not therapy, diagnosis, or crisis care. It does not replace individualized professional support. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.

Your next conversation is a place to start.
